Why provide your invitation to your wedding photographer or videographer?

Some married couples choose to spend several thousand euros in their dress. Others put the priority on the caterer, the decoration, the flowers… But also, on their wedding stationery.

Even if you don’t think it’s essential that you have your photo invitation, I would still like you to bring it to me during the preparations, and I will explain why.

Your invitation is certainly the first element of your wedding that your guests and your family discovered, and it is also surely one of the first elements you chose for your wedding.

Wedding photographs have evolved a lot. For our grandparents, this often meant a studio visit to the photographer on D-Day, with the lady standing and the gentleman sitting.

For our parents, we find still very posed portraits, couple and group, but this time outdoors.

Then the photo report of the wedding gradually settled down, with more and more vivid photos, on the spot, giving a natural aspect, more oriented to the photojournalistic report than the photo posed.

Since the advent of digital, the number of photographers has increased considerably and the market of professional photographers has thus become very heterogeneous, whether in difference of style of images, of offers, but (it is regrettable) also in image quality and professionalism.

The bride and groom therefore have much more choice, but often do not know to whom to entrust their marriage report.
